Aly is a registered Marriage and Family Therapist Intern who works with adults, couples, adolescents, and children desiring support and healing in the areas of relational distress, forgiveness, depression and anxiety, illness and medical difficulties, identity, self-harm, trauma, and physical and sexual abuse. Aly has experience working in various mental health settings including schools, private practice, and outpatient psychiatric hospitals. In previous years, Aly was fortunate to be an intern at her church in the grief and recovery ministry, as well as part of the children's ministry, and is currently on the worship team. Aly works from the approaches of narrative, restorative, attachment, and psychodynamic therapeutic modalities. While receiving her BA in Psychology, with a minor in theater, at Vanguard University, Aly worked as a resident assistant on campus overseeing a wing of 60+ students coordinating events geared towards diversity, spiritual formation, relationships, personal development, and academic performance. It was during this time that Aly began to recognize the invaluable opportunity of unearthing and exploring personal stories. Following this discovery, Aly went on to pursue and complete her Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy, with an emphasis in Medical Family Therapy from Fuller Seminary. In her free time, Aly enjoys being with her family and friends, dancing, yoga, going for long walks, listening to music, and reading a good book.
